Hollywood Loop by Marty

Yeah, as much as I hate buses, we're going to have to deal with the fact that in LA, we just can't cover every great destination with rail. It just makes more sense to take the Red Line to Wilshire/Fairfax or San Vicente/Beverly and then take a bus to Melrose.

Build the Red Line to encircle Hollywood, then run a couple Portland-style streetcars through the loop. One line going N-S on Fairfax would connect to Farmer's Market, Fairfax Village, Melrose and the Sunset Strip. At the same time, the Red Line (or Maroon Line) wouldn't be slowed down by having a jagged route thru Hollywood. It could also connect to Little Etheopia S of Wilshire...
