RailPAC Boardmember Noel Braymer takes issue with the declining ridership on Metrolink. While Braymer hopes the recent expansion of Sunday service on the Antelope Valley Line will help reverse the trend, Braymer points towards the decrease in government workers that form a large chunk of Downtown LA employees and thus a good number of commuters entering Los Angeles. As a solution, Braymer proposes a $35 weekday day pass that would allow potential riders to travel across the entirety of the Metrolink system for a whole day. One other tactic we here at The Transit Coalition would like to see is special Metrolink service to more events. Metrolink is offering just such opportunity for the LA County Fair, which opened its doors on Friday, August 30.
